It's not something I'm trying yet, but as far as I was aware Blitzava cast of of the parts for her dolls as solid pieced then drilled them to accommodate the strings! The body, is infact a pretty solid piece of kit. :0 The head is not quite so chunky but the bits that would be preventing a bigger eye size being put in are parts by the cheek which are fairly thickish..
I dunno, I'll experiment with my Angelo head and let you know how it goes.
EDIT: Just addig, there was no way I was going to try modding him to take 8mm eyes, for clarity sake! xD There is no way that they would fit EVAR! But if some 5mm eyes are slightly to big, then I was saying that there is actually a good chance of modding the way into the eye-well to fit them, if you get what I mean?

Thanks so much for those. Yus, I can see what she means. So, at the moment, is the headcap held on by the body elastic going through that hook? Bizarro! It also looks a little uneven. But, as you say, that can be easily solved with a scalpel and scrap of sand paper (that I am comfortable doing). Yes, I think a magnteic headcap would be far better.

But what a LOVELY face! He really does remind me of a true, heraldic unicorn. She should do a lion as well as they should be sold as a pair.

In a way, it makes a little sense as it allows the head-cap to be reversed and done super quickly, but there are a few things that need to be resolved with it. *nodnods*
The magnets was something I toyed with doing as I have some spare that came with Abelard, but then that would limit the function of the head-cap unless the magnet was centered?

Yes, I am not sure whether magnets or a hook would be better. How easy is it to take the headcap off, when you need to? Also, does the lil' pony headcap have that uneveness about it too, ie does it sit well one way round but not the other?

Haha, I really like Rex's body more than his face. :] Very interesting!

As it stands, at the moment the pony head cap also sits better one way than the other, with ears forward rather than back like the unicorn, though that sits fine with me, honestly.
With the cast I have at the moment it was only partly the excess resin inside the cap, the hook is literally a millimeter or so too long and require a little re-bend and trim.
The head cap, I found, was essentially easy enough to get on though required a little help from some tweezers..
Once it was on, and say he was finished, I wouldn't have found this much of an issue really as I would not have wanted to take him apart frequently, but as he's still a WIP it could potentially get a little bothersome..
Luckily I'm fairly tolerant. xD
